11/1/2023 0 Comments Blender ender 3What I find interesting is that you have a very positive view of the Finder (as most do) yet, ultimately still felt the need to 'upgrade' (for lack of a better word) to the Ender 3. Is print quality something you struggled with after building or was it fairly easy to get the bed level and get usable prints straight away? Hi, thank you very much, this was very helpful.īuilding the printer isn't something that puts me off - it's more the thought of how much time it will take for configuration / troubleshooting to get decent prints. If building a printer doesn’t sound good to you, and you want the easiest way to understand a printer, then the flashforge finder is your best bet. Overall, they’re both good printers, and if you want some learning experience, then you should go with the ender 3. Heated bed! You won’t need to use hairspray or glue (but they do help sometimes!) Printable upgrades! I’ve printed many upgrades for my ender 3, which has helped my printing experience.Ĭons: it can only really print PLA filament, and not flexible filament, which stinks! You can buy an extruder than can help, but it cost 30 bucks! (EZR if you were wondering) If that doesn’t bother you then the ender 3 is for you! My list of pros are:Įasy to understand once you get everything in order Big build volume! It has about 9 inches of building Very fast! Because it’s a Bowden extruder printer, it can go at very high speeds while printing. It is not a heated bed, meaning you will have to use glue or hairspray to make your prints stick.Īn Ender 3 requires construction, and from someone who didn’t know much about 3D printers at the time, it took me all day to build it. It’s about 5 and a half inches all around. Unfortunately, every printer has its cons, and here’s the list of mine: Very small build volume. It can print flexible filament! I’ve made my own phone case using this printer, saving me a few dollars It is so easy to understand a ten year old could learn! Easy repair as the only problem I’ve had with my 6 months of use is filament jams. Right out of the box you just need to level the bed and you can start printing! Very easy to understand. The Pros on the Flashforge finder are: No construction needed to get started. Sounds like a job for me as I have both! When I first got into 3D printing, I got a flashforge finder.
